Technical Account Manager (personal care ingredients), Buckinghamshire

An opportunity join the sales team of this successful distributor of speciality ingredients and chemicals into the personal care industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent technical support to a variety of customers including many well-known brands as well as developing new business.

Key Accountabilities

Developing a strong technical understanding of the range of ingredients including chemistry, benefits and formulation characteristics (full training provided!)
Understand the needs of the customers, and communicate scientific information in a clear & concise manner
Visit UK Customers to develop long term relationships with various onsite departments
Liaise with various internal departments on new projects
Attend relevant industry meetings, seminars and exhibitions to increase and expand your knowledge of the Personal Care industry
You will join the UK Sales Team and have a varying role; being responsible for both maintaining strong customer relationships, developing new business and provide technical support to the clients

Personal Profile

A strong scientific education, preferably with a degree in a scientific subject
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Attention to detail and excellent customer service skills
IT literate – Microsoft Word, Excel and able to learn company systems and tools
Well-organised with the ability to multitask and work to targets and strict deadlines
Creative and self-motivated
A strong work ethic and the desire to succeed
A high degree of adaptability
Excited by the prospect of long term career development
